Longwood University Athletics will begin 2010-11 with a special community event, designated The GAME (Greatest Athletics March Ever), on Sunday, August 22, involving the first women’s soccer home match against the University of Richmond.
The festivities will begin with a picnic, followed by a pep rally when Longwood President Patrick Finnegan and First Lady Joan Finnegan will lead everyone in a march from campus to the soccer facility for opening kickoff. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and all those marching to the field will receive a commemorative Longwood Lancers scarf. Learn more
