"I Hear America Singing," a concert of poetry and music, will be presented April 22-23 and April 25
April 22, 2010 - April 25, 2010
I Hear America Singing, a concert of poetry and music inspired by the works of Walt Whitman, will be presented Thursday and Friday, April 22-23, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 25, at 3 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for Communication Studies and Theatre. It will be presented by the Opera Workshop (a music/theatre class taught by Dr. Christopher Swanson and Dr. Gene Muto) and Longwood Theatre.
Tickets are $8 general admission; $6 for faculty/staff/seniors/students from other schools/colleges; and $5 ($4 for Thursday) for Longwood students. The format for I Hear America Singing will be similar to that for Longwood Theatre's production of Venus and Adonis in September 2009.
