From Port to Sport: Lancers get new Press Boxes

Two new press boxes, made from modified and recycled freight containers, have been installed at the Longwood Lancers Athletics Complex on Johnston Drive. The press boxes, featuring all steel welded construction and windows with double pane insulated tempered glass, were created from shipping containers and designed with energy efficient and environmentally friendly construction in support of Longwood University’s sustainability program.   Painted Lancer blue, the boxes feature a rooftop platform for sports and news photographers.
