An opening reception for the Longwood University Art Department Faculty Exhibition and “The Inner Eye: Folk Art of India from the William and Ann Oppenhimer Collection” will be held Friday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts. The exhibitions (faculty exhibition in the Sully Gallery, Oppenhimer exhibition in the Bishop Gallery) will be on display from Nov. 21 through Jan. 31, 2009. William (Boo) and Ann Oppenhimer, of Richmond, are founders of the Folk Art Society of America and have given or promised much of their longtime folk art collection to the LCVA.
