Call Me MISTER leadership training will take place July 5-10

Longwood's College of Education and Human Services coordinates the Call Me MISTER program, which is directed by Dr. Neal Holmes. Call Me MISTER is designed to recruit, train, certify and secure employment for young African-American men as public elementary schoolteachers. The mission is to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader more diverse background. Student participants are largely selected from among underserved, socioeconomically disadvantaged and educationally at-risk communities.
