Want to check your room assignment or change your meal plan?
Residential Students
Any residential student wishing to upgrade his/her meal plan should utilize the Longwood Dining Services webpage. The link to this webpage is below. Residential students will not be permitted to downgrade his/her meal plan for the remainder of the Fall semester.
Commuter Students
Commuter Students wishing to purchase a meal plan for the 2010-2011 academic year or upgrade a meal plan may do so through the Longwood Dining Services webpage. Commuter Students will not be permitted to downgrade his/her meal plan for the remainder of the Fall Semester.
*Commuter students are any student not living in a Longwood managed Residence Hall or Apartment and who commute to the campus*
Summer Session Housing
Cox Hall is the only Longwood-managed accommodation offered during the 2010 Summer School period. Assignments will be processed in the order of request and will be honored as space permits.

Longwood's Residency Requirement does not extend to Summer School. If you are enrolled in summer courses at Longwood and would like to commute from a local address we will not dispute this. Your status will temporarily change to commuter than will be changed back to residential at the end of the final summer session.

Safety Tips

It means paying attention to your environment, not taking chances, being safety conscious at all times, being alert for dangerous situations and suspicious persons, taking precautions while walking/jogging, driving, or using public transportation. Know what to do if you are being followed or if you become a victim. Learn how to protect yourself.

- 2 Transfer Orientation & Registration. More information is available the First Year Experience website.
- 2 Spring 2010 damage invoices sent to students through Longwood email account.
- 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, & 12 First Year Orientation & Registration. More information is available the First Year Experience website.
- 11 Summer Session I move-out by 12 noon
- 13 Summer Session II check-in 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- 15 New student deadline for special accommodation request to Disability Services.
- 16 Damage Appeals due to Residential and Commuter Life Office from Spring 2010 Semester.
- 30 New Student assignments sent through student's Longwood email account for those students that attended orientation.
July
- 5 Longwood University is closed due to the Independence Day Holiday.
- 9 Summer II check-out by 12 noon.
- 9 Fall tuition bill invoices sent to students.
- 11 Summer III check-In at 12noon.
- 31 Summer III check-out by 12 noon.
August
- 6 Fall tuition bill invoices due.
- 19 New student move-in 9am - 12pm & 2pm - 5pm.
- 20 Continuing apartment residents move-in 9am -12pm & 2pm - 5pm.
- 21 Continuing main campus and apartment residents move-in 9am-12pm & 2pm - 5pm.
- 22 Main campus and apartment residents move-in 12pm-5pm.
- 23 Classes begin at 8:00am.
- 23 Commuter welcome wagon.

- 1 Mid-year intention process begins

- 19 Mid-year room change confirmation sent to students.
- 23 Thanksgiving break online register to stay ends at 3:00pm.

- 24-26 University Closed due to Thanksgiving break.

December
- 1 Register to stay for Winter break available on RCL website (Apartment Communities Only)
- 3 Last day of classes. Quiet Hours begin at 7:00pm.
- 4 Room changes to current vacancies completed by 5:00pm
- 6 Exams begin.
- 8 Online Winter break register to stay ends at 3:00pm.
- 10 Exams End.
- 11 Residence halls and apartment communities close at 12 noon.
- 15 New student housing assignments sent to students Longwood email.
