Offered a Position

After a student is offered a position and the supervisor starts the process the student will receive an email from Interview Exchange (Hirezon) where they will login and complete their paperwork electronically.

Accepted Employment I-9 Form

After accepting employment, student employees are required to complete an electronic I-9 form and present documentation of their identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Longwood University utilizes the Equifax I-9 verification system to confirm identity and work authorization.

The Employer code is 18071.

At the bottom of the Employee (Section 1) portion of the form, there is a field called  "Location", please select "Student Worker."

Complete the I-9 electronic form

If you do not provide your Social Security Card as a I-9 document the Office of Student Employment will need to obtain a copy of the social security card for Payroll purposes. This is for verification of your name and SS number which is required by the Commonwealth of Virginia Payroll System.

Payroll

A student will not be placed on payroll or paid for any hours worked until the Student Employment Manager has approved the Work Authorization.

Direct Deposit Authorization

  • Contact Payroll at (434)395-2261 to enroll
  • Students must apply on Cardinal to access individual earnings (replaces check stubs)

The student's supervisor will be notified when the Work Authorization is approved so the student may begin work.
